TIMELINE
​Renewing Management was born in 2003 from a $20,000 home equity line of credit to purchase a double-wide in one of the poorest counties in Indiana. From a trailer to single-family, duplex, 4-plex, and soon we acquired our first multi-family apartment community. Today Renewing Management operates 4,500+ units in 32 apartment communities throughout Indiana, all housing the "missing middle" population - working Hoosiers who do not qualify for government assistance, but who struggle to afford rent. Our passion for people and restoring hope is found in every community we operate.
In 2019 we began dreaming about how to create housing faster and more efficiently for the people we serve. Together with other real estate leaders, I explored modular construction - tradespeople building housing inside a factory to accelerate the efficiency of construction. In 2021 Volumod was born, constructing single and multi-family modular housing in a climate-controlled facility to be transported and craned onto permanent foundations. Volumod's Second Chance Program employs those coming from incarceration or addiction and supports holistic hope-building resources to better their lives.
With Volumod creating the units and Renewing Management ready to operate the communities, in 2023 the final piece of the housing puzzle - land development and construction management - was born. Helix is a unique development company that values people. We don't just talk about our core values - we live them out each day. We value our clients, our lenders, our partners and our future residents so much that we work diligently to re-write the story of housing in Indiana and beyond.
